EU startups need capital to grow: Startup and VC investments are growing quickly in the EU and have quadrupled over the last 4 years. But EU startup investments are still trailing the US and Asia by a factor of 4-9x. Europe is strong in engineering and innovations but weaker in turning great ideas into successful business models. We love to make a contribution to changing that.
We are entrepreneurs and investors – we invest and develop. As entrepreneurs we are aware of the risks of starting a new venture but firmly believe that the opportunities outweigh the risks. As investors we are willing to put our money where our mouth is. We love to partner with startups to develop new solutions that deliver customer value – and great returns for our investors.

Hauke founded Lakeside with >20 yrs of business & executive experience in technology, ecommerce and operations. He served as a member of Amazon‘s EU Leadership Team, as board member of Cimpress / Vistaprint and in several supervisory / advisory board roles for international companies. In prior roles he worked for ASML and McKinsey & Company. Hauke has (co-) founded 9 companies including the VC firm Digital Venture Capital (DVC). He works for the PE firm Triton Partners and is author of the book Capex Excellence.

Peter Anderegg
Co-Founder
Investment Advisor, Innovation Management
Peter is looking back on >30 years of professional experience in R&D as well as business development. Formerly he served as the SVP R&D of Vistaprint (Cimpress) and is the founder of Vistaprint Schweiz GmbH. He is an ETH graduate (Dipl.-Ing.) and has also attended the EMBA program at the University of St. Gallen.
He is an expert in R&D, product development and innovation management, SW development & Agile, business growth & innovation
Christof Höfner

Christof is a business lawyer with >25 years of professional experience as a legal council, authorized representative, managing director and management board member. He is currently working as senior legal counsel for Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. and has formerly served as the legal director of Vistaprint Schweiz GmbH.
He is an expert in international business and contract law
Andreas Brey
Authorized Officer
Tax & Certified Accountant
Andreas brings along 30 years of professional experience in tax law. After working in a larger tax consultancy firm and an auditing company, he built up his own tax consultancy firm with a focus on German/Swiss tax law. Since the sale of the firm, he has devoted himself to his new tasks at Lakeside.
Andreas is a specialist in structuring advice for cross-border tax law in Germany and Switzerland.
